HAPPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

I sure miss being home for the 4th! They do a small program here at the Naval Base, but nothing like at home. We have the most wonderful country in the whole world. I'm always so happy when I come home, even if it is just for a visit. Soon we will be home for good - and I'll be so happy. God Bless America.

It was a bit weird celebrating the 4th of July in Japan. Rick and I decided to go out for American food in this land of sushi and noodles. We ended up walking (we don't have a car here) about twenty minutes to TGIFriday's and having milkshakes, hamburgers, fries and apple crisp (the closest we could get to apple pie). I remember the summer in Singapore with nobody there. Tokyo is like that too. We combine with 2 other wards so the church is still full I just don't know anybody! I'm teaching Gospel Doctrine but have just been asked to teach seminary in the fall and I am excited. I enjoy reading your blog. I guess I should write in mine more often.
